The book was shot in Jaipur, India. Our theme for this collection is “I Want Candy” translating into yummy, sugary, candy colors and embellishments of plastic stones and gems.

We were inspired by this Japanese travel book following one single girl’s experience. You’ll notice we only used one model for this book. Her name is Yulia.

Visit Japan in Autumn and Winter to get colourful photo opportunities around every corner. Fall foliage is wonderful in mountains, forests, gorges, national parks and city gardens, if you know where to go. Winter is good for bird watching, snow festivals, ice sculptures and spectacular snow country scenery. Best seen if you have your own transport and know where to go. A good reason why people see more of Japan when they join a small group escorted tour with Destination Management – Toursgallery.com who provide a full size luxury private charter coach , even for only 15 guests.

Also visit the Destination Management YouTube site to see our Spring Summer photos including cherry blossom, wisteria, iris and azalea gardens, pottery, art and crafts.

Toursgallery escorted small group tours for 10 to 20 guests are all created exclusively by Ken Osetroff & Mayumi Gray. YouTube videos produced by Anna Osetroff & Ben Jurss.

May and June are excellent months to visit Japan after the huge crowds of cherry blossom tourists have vanished and azalea, iris and wisteria bring colour to traditional Japanese landscape gardens, Zen gardens and even the wild natural areas.

Last weekend I decided to play tourist in my own city and went to Kokura Castle near Kokura station in Kitakyushu, Japan. A really interesting place with a museum, a decent amount of grounds to explore with great photo ops, a traditional Japanese garden, and a memorial museum too. Directly next to Riverwalk shopping center, it is definitely a highlight if visiting Kitakyushu.

This is the promotional video for my first full book, ‘Japan From The Inside’. The book contains collected photos and writings on Japan from 2003 to 2008.

This clip includes images from Tokyo, Yokohama, Hiroshima, Kamakura, Nagano, Kyoto and Okinawa, to name a few of the places featured in the book, which also has sections on the people, culture and nature of Japan. It ends with brief, previously unreleased footage shot at a traditional summer festival (‘matsuri’) in Tokyo.

”Japan From The Inside’ is a window into a land of superlatives.

Experience the world’s biggest city, its busiest train station, recovery from the first atomic bomb, or the planet’s longest life expectancies in this country steeped in tradition yet eye-poppingly modern at the same time.’ (from blurb.com)
