Sunflowers are starting to bloom here in Japan. There are many around where I live and I think they are quite fabulous to see. They can get pretty big and the yellow is very beautiful. This is just a short clip taken with the Creative Vado HD to give you an idea of how they can be seen in Japan. This particular shot was taken near Nagano city in a residential area. Although these are pretty big, you can actually find sunflowers much bigger than this around the countryside. There are also a lot of bees around them too so you have to be careful. Visit Japan in Autumn and Winter to get colourful photo opportunities around every corner. Fall foliage is wonderful in mountains, forests, gorges, national parks and city gardens, if you know where to go. Winter is good for bird watching, snow festivals, ice sculptures and spectacular snow country scenery. Best seen if you have your own transport and know where to go. A good reason why people see more of Japan when they join a small group escorted tour with Destination Management – Toursgallery.com who provide a full size luxury private charter coach , even for only 15 guests.
Also visit the Destination Management YouTube site to see our Spring Summer photos including cherry blossom, wisteria, iris and azalea gardens, pottery, art and crafts.
Toursgallery escorted small group tours for 10 to 20 guests are all created exclusively by Ken Osetroff & Mayumi Gray. YouTube videos produced by Anna Osetroff & Ben Jurss.

Kanji Japan is a photography collection of Hiragana, Katakana, and Kanji that make up the Japanese writing system. I find these writing characters to be an artform in itself and are a joy to photograph. Images were taken by Jim Atwood Photography at http://www.jimatwood.net in Nagoya, Tokyo, Yokohama, and Nagano Japan. Soundtrack is remixed by http://cornandbeans.newgrounds.com. Thanks!
